Overheard

Boy comes in on Sunday evening after hanging out with Timmy, the grandson of our neighbors behind us, for an hour or so.

Boy:  “Timmy said he wished I could come over more often.  He said he wished he had a brother like me.  I said it’s too bad we can’t be brothers!”

Dys:  “So you were having a good time, huh?”

Boy:  “Not really.”

  1. I absolutely LOVE that! How old is Boy? I hope he stays honestly hilarious forever!

He is 10 and a half at this particular moment in time. Honestly hilarious is good with us here at home. Out in the world, sometimes it’s a bit more nerve-wracking.

  2. At least he’s honest. *shrug*

PS My feed link has changed. I am back online, but my URL has changed it’s now: blog.followsabine.com

Ah, good! I was wondering why you got so quiet there for a while.

  3. I love how kids don’t think twice about what they say. Or even think for a first time. This is definitely classic.

“Even think for a first time.” Yep, you hit the nail on the head with that one!

BTW, have I mentioned how I love that your avatar always appears to be looking askance at the commenter above you (or, if there is none, the post itself)? Like, “Oh dear lord, WTF were you thinking when you wrote THAT?!?”

  4. LOL!

We have news. I should really send you an email chock full of questions when I get a minute… or find time to breathe. Also, it will probably come from my main email since I’m too darn busy on the internet to log into the blog account.

Yeah, you did have news, didn’t you! Sure, shoot me an email whenever you get a chance. No problemo. 🙂

  5. Man! The Boy never let’s me down.

He summed up sibling-hood in a two-word answer, didn’t he?
