Here Comes the Rain Again

OK, now that pretty much everybody that was already a member of the TB Record Club (at least that didn’t move recently – I don’t have your new address, B!) has received their surprise…

I hereby present to you the successor to the Sunny Mix, TB’s Rainy Mix!

Last time I got bogged down in trying to explain or justify every song; this time I just whipped up a few “liner notes” and sent them out with the CDs.  But I’ve decided that the liner notes themselves should be a perk for those that receive the disc.  In the meantime, I’ll just say that if you’re curious about a particular song being included (or excluded), comment or email and I’ll answer.  I said so in the liner notes and thus far only one person has actually taken me up on it.  Seriously, I’m always game to talk about music.

So, without further adieu, the long-in-the-development tracklist.  (Too bad I can’t do it in columns so it won’t be so damned long!)  Didn’t get a copy?  Email me your address and that can be corrected!

  1. Opeth and Phil Collins on the same CD?

    FINALLY!

    Bwahahahahah!!!

I haven’t cracked this mix. I’m still on the Phill Collins-less murder in the name of. . . disc.

Hey, man, glad you’re digging any of it!

  2. A four-page missive does not constitue a “note”, m’dear. I’m just sayin… 😀

Yeah, yeah; despite the Twittering, my reputation as a wordy bastard precedes me. On the other hand, it helps me be on time to parties.

Both discs are getting heavy rotation in our house! Thanks again!

I admit, I’m a little surprised to hear that Disc #2 is getting heavy rotation in your house, but cool beans! 😀

    • Heh. We’re not ALWAYS all about Phil Collins. Did I mention that we play Disturbed the most on Rock Band?

Yes, you just gotta admit that Disturbed is not necessarily in the same league as some of these bands!

Although if you can sing “Funeral Thirst,” BY GAWD I would love to see it!

  3. OMG, I have been listening to these all week, and only now when I look at the list do I realise just how much there is left to listen to!! You, my friend, officially rock! Thank you so much! xxx

Woohoo, so I actually got to pull two surprises with one gift? Awesome!!

  4. Hey – you’re on Twitter? Wow, I am severely out of the loop.

Nah. I just snuck up on ya.
