Quality Cinema

It may hardly be Oscar-worthy.  It may, depending upon your proclivities, be a complete piece of crap.

But the five minutes or so of From Dusk Till Dawn with Salma Hayek dancing on tables?

Worth the price of admission every damned time.

That is all.

(Holy hell.)

  1. Is that a snake in your pants?

    An anaconda, motherfucker!

  2. Dogma. Stripper pole. Candy Girl. Pigtails.

Salma is hot no matter how ya undress her. 😉

Don’t get me wrong, I love that scene too (and Dogma in general) – but this one beats it hands down IMHO.

  3. If you edit it just right, you can stretch that scene to last much longer.

I suppose I could buy it on DVD and make use of that cool little A-B repeat feature – but that assumes that I need that scene to be as long as it is, doesn’t it?

  4. Desperado, baby. She and Antonio are both so young and so beautiful and so…Spanish. Ole!

Yep, part of the reason I say that movie has something for everyone!

I still like the table scene in FDTD better – less quick-cutting and overlays and stuff to distract you from OMFG SHE’S SMOKIN’ HAWT!!1!!one!! As Dys put it once while that scene was on, “There is just not a centimeter on that woman out of place, is there?”

  5. Brian & I went to see FDTD on our first date. It’s a wonder we didn’t end up doing it for the first time that night instead of a week later. Yeah, I held out a looooong time.

    Your restraint is inspiring. 😀
