Happy VD

Don’t think I forgot about all you lovers out there!

This one’s for you.

(It’ll be funnier if you’re a “Scrubs” fan, but it’s funny nonetheless.)

“Cause like can lead to like-like, and like-like can lead to looooooveee….”

  1. Really? The ukulele is such an under-used instrument.

    In 49 states, yes.

Dys and I happen to have an old MUD pal who was a ukelele player and who rubbed very large elbows with other famous ukelele players.

  2. That was funny…I have only seen about ten episodes of Scrubs, but loved them all.

Great show; it’s in its last season now, which makes me a little sad.

  3. Great song! That was fun.

I’m not sure how I feel about this season. I sort of startde watching Dirty Jobs instead because it seems to have lost something.

But, I was happy to see a couple of Flight Of The Conchords connections in the interns. Eliza Coupe who played Lisa (Bret’s overzealous girlfriend) plays Denise the nasty intern and Aziz Ansari (Sinjay the racist grocer) plays Ed.

You can definitely feel that they’re heading toward wrapping things up – maybe that’s what you’re noticing.

I really like the Denise character, and I think the actress is nailing it.

  4. I don’t know what I’m going to do when Scrubs is over. Probably purchase the boxed set when it comes out. I don’t even want to think about it.

I should have been smart enough to just wait for the boxed set, but I couldn’t. I’ve got seasons 1-4, so four more to go.

  5. Okay, I caught up with this season of Scrubs and there were some parts that reminded me I am going to miss it. You really do like those characters.

As far as ukulele players, I saw Tiny Tim twice. Once, in the 80’s, at the legendary punk club in Boston, The Rat and again in the 90’s at a country/western bar in Saugus, The Blue Star. Sadly, both those clubs are closed now.

Yeah, it’s interesting to see how they’re pushing some of the characters through changes – I’m thinking specifically of Cox and Kelso. Fairly logical, but significantly different from their previous lives. I think that’s what really seems to push it home to me that they’re wrapping the whole thing up.
