Buzzy Bee

I think I mentioned this before, but things are a little nutso in my professional life right now.  This week the ante is up, especially as my wife attempts to deal with the auto shop, the other person’s insurance company, and a rental car.  So if I go a day or two without posting or commenting, nobody panic.

Monday Music

If you ever like to dance to heavy music, this is your ticket.

White Zombie, “More Human Than Human”

I’ve always had a boner for this song. It’s just groovy as hell, with enough crunch to get the adrenaline flowing. I think this song is the ultimate illustration that a song doesn’t have to be complex to kick ass. Hell, this song is barely melodic. It’s a pure example of a badass rhythm. Period, pointblank. There’s nothing much to this song beyond that tribal rhythm that grabs you at the base of your spine and makes you MOVE.

For the heavy-dance crowd, a highly underrated and fantastically groovy White Zombie song is “Ratfinks, Suicide Tanks and Cannibal Girls” from the Beavis and Butthead Do America soundtrack.

(Makes me wish my computer speakers sounded as good as my stereo.)
